Quality assurance – control manager (QA/QC)

QA/QC Manager is responsible for delegating and assigning tasks to QA/QC Supervisors and working closely with related engineering, construction, fabrication, MEP, Finishes, landscape, infrastructure and repair departments.

Job description

  • Ensuring the implementation of all aspects of the project related to quality assurance and quality control, and the overall implementation of the available Quality Management System at the site.
  • Ensuring that the quality of materials and the installation of work are in accordance with the criteria identified for the project.
  • Review & approve the Prepared Project Specific Quality Plan, Method Statements, Quality Control Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans, and Quality Control Checklists coordinating with COM / PMs.
  • Review of Critical Submittals (Technical wise) before submitting to the Engineer, Coordinating with COM / PM.
  • Review & study the engineer’s technical submittals reply to success reply back to him or to get the required modifications by subcontractor or supplier.  To obtain the engineer’s final approval Coordinating with CM / PM
  • Review & verify the contractual issues of success noticing of reserving SWEF CONSTRUCTIONS (SC) rights to Claim (if any) coordinating with CM / PM.
  • Ensuring that inspection requests are implemented on time without any failure or mistakes of the works (no engineer rejection should be issued to SWEF CONSTRUCTIONS ( SC)  otherwise investigation of the situation should be done with obtaining the necessary corrective & preventive action coordinating with PM.
  • Ensuring that all test reports are verified to meet the contract requirements before submission.
  • Issue of Non-Conformance Reports and the necessary follow-up
  • Review & oversee / audit of Subcontractor PQP & Quality Management systems.
  • Ensuring of the site’s staff quality behavior such as obtaining and controlling filling systems, doing all the necessary required prior study on time, controlling & following up subcontractors, coordination study of project documents on time, etc.
  • Review structure submittals before submission coordinating with PMs.
  • Attending regular sites meetings for quality / technical support.
  • Implementing the necessary technical training to Staff.
  • Technical Investigating and reporting of any default required to be reported.
  • Review / obtain Default corrective and/or preventive actions.
  • Help project staff to review project structures and advice structural solutions if required.
  • Help project staff to obtain DM structure approvals for revisions to avoid project delays.
  • Staff training and appraisal.
  • Operations, Repairs, and remedial works

Requirements for QA/QC Manager

The company states that employers may prefer candidates who have skills in English reported with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the same specialist or earned a minimum a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Quality control or equal. Topics may include construction quality control guidelines, methods, and software skills
